I just both of my male swordtails in my tank i let them get use to the water and everything and the one male swordtail went behind my driftwood and is just sitting there is he dieing or what? Was fine in my ten gallon that i moved him from

What's his breathing like? Is he on his side or does he just appear to be hiding? Is his dorsal fin erect or is it lying down?

His dorsal fin is flikering and he came out and has been swimming every since. Eating on the algae looks to be fine. Guess he is just getting use to his surrondings.

I have a ten gallon tank and my fish have been in for a little over three weeks. I would assume they are use to their home by now, but my Male sits/rest under one of the plants. He isn't on his side or anything and I actually can't get a very good view of what he is doing besides maybe sleeping? My female sits there right next to him on the gravel just slowly moving back and forth. Just kind of wierd and I have noticed that they have been doing this at night here lately. During the day they are pretty active.
