Swordtail for Community

Hi,

I was thinking of getting 1 male swordtail and 2 female swordtail to my 29 gallon community tank (planted)

Fish in the tank includes:

4 Fancy male Guppies
5 Neon Tetras
3 Cherry Barbs
2 Platy

Are swordtails going to be suitable in My Tank

They should be allright, what gender are the platies though? Swordtails can hybrid with platies, so you don't want them fighting over the ladies.

I'm pretty sure one of them is female because i saw platy fry one time and i moved them to another tank, but I'm unsure of the other one

One more question:
About how many fry's does swordtails give birth to?

Its very easy to sex a livebearer.

Look at the bottom anal fin. If there is what appears to be an organ slung backwards paralel to the ground (the gonopodium) its male. Otherwise its a female.

So both of my Platy are females then.

Allright, so if you add the swordtails the guy will have 2 swords and 2 platies all for himself. He'll be pretty happy in there. I don't forsee any other problems with the other fish.
