Anyone know anything about these particular fish? I was just wondering how fast they grow. They look stunning and are sold in pairs, but 25 bucks seems a bit steep for a Swordtail. Here is the link to the fish profile. Not planning on buying them, just collecting info for a possible future purchase once I get a bigger tank.

I've gotten them cheaper at my LFS. Some one must breed them in my area because I've seen them in their a couple times. I'm afraid that I don't know much about them.

They are a gorgeous type of coloration in a swordtail. I'll take them a good 6 months to be fully grown.

I officially have MTS. I am actively seeking out a used or new 29 to 36 gallon setup just so I can properly house a pair of these. Once that is done I will buy a breeding pair of these beauties. I even found a nice local fish store that isn't chain that would prolly buy the fry as they stock a good number of fish that one does not normally see.

get another girl sword or you may find the single being harrassed. I had a womanizing male who once I added girl liked the girls better than his buddy

they're gorgeous! if you do decide to breed i may have to buy some from you my grandparents live in the NoVA area so I'm up there all the time!

In the Philippines, koi swords are call kohaku. They come single tailed or lyretailed ( but supply is rather scarce ). They are red-eyed. Price is a little bit high because its not regularly displayed in LFS.
