I got a pair of red swordtails and a male cobra and two female (tequila sunrise)? female from two different store so I wont get brother and sister mating. The strange thing is the guppy will chase the swordtail more than its own kind. Is the female swordtail giving off some sort of hormone that makes the guppy chase her? He even chases the male the same as if it was a female

Guppies tend to chase anything, not necessarily in a sexual manner. Sexual behavior and normal chasing seem to look almost identical with male guppies, mainly because they are so blunt in their mating practice, but you have to realize that the guppy is probably trying to bully the swordtail male. They do that... that's just how they are.

Guppies are confused little creatures...lol
Soon enough the sword will become more accustomed to his home and may fight off the guppy. By a few times of that happening, the guppy will just back off-He'll get the idea...lol
