New babies

When I got home from work today I noticed new baby Xiphophorus alvarezi.

I pulled 8 out of the tank, not sure of the females is still dropping fry.

Once they are shippable size, they will be offered here first.

oh so coloration is the same then besides that.

Its funny we have two hybrid mollies in our grandpas tank that look almost like the green swords. They have that grey color to them, and nave the black spots u sometimes find on the swords. But, they have the mollie bodies and we haven't had green swords in there for over 6 months.
They were born in about the beginning of November. THe mollies we had in there were a marble mollie and a 24 karat gold mollie. The mother is a yellow mollie, but there is little yellow in the fry at all. I'll have to try and get pics.

This batch of Moscows are much better quality and healthier than the ones I had a couple of years ago.

I really would love to start a guppy tank. Since my pictus made quick work out of the pastels I got from Santa this summer I have yet to replace them. I may have an empty 20g when all is said and done with the 120g shuffle... so maybe... Guppy City!! I orginally wanted to do Swords in the empty 20g... but I really want specific swords and am having trouble getting my hands on them.

Is there a difference between marigold painted and marigold swords? Soory if this is considered hijacking, but I was just curious...

Painted is more red with black spots. Marigold swords are more yellow with orange finnage.
