Sump - a saltwater aquarium sump is mainly used to hide equipment under the tank and a place to perform maintenance and dosing tasks without disturbing the display tank. It is great place to hide the biopellet reactor, protein skimmer, phosphate reactor, etc. The sump also increases the total water volume in the system.

Overflow box where too buy?

Where is there a good place online to but a overflow box for a 75 gal tank with a 30 gal sump tank. The cheapest I found was one on dr foster and smith website for $57 + $11 shipping. Any suggestions?

i made mine and it is very simple. all i did is got some black acrilic cut out my basic shapes for the front and two sides including the grates at the top, used a torch to warm up the front piece and bent it at 45 degrese siliconed the sides on then siliconed them to the tank i will try to get some pics of them for you. the whole process cost me about 15$ and 2hours of my time.
