Using sand bought from lowes?

I was just wondering. I have this sand that i got from lowes and It's sand that's dug up locally here (And i live on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico) It say's it all purpose sand and I use it in most of my freshwater tanks, It is mostly small sand about the size of sugar. But their are some small pieces that are about the size of small gravel. So i was wondering can i use this sand in a saltwater tank.

Oh and Here is a pic of the sand in one of my tanks.

i would say yes, as long as it doesnt affect the pH in bad way, but normaly if it does it makes it higher, which is good for saltwater tanks anyways, im not 1 hunderd percent sure but i would think it would work,, but i would wait for someone with more saltwater knoledge to respond

It is likely neutral (mostly silica), and would have been thoroughly cleaned by the "production" company before being sold. You should be fine using it.

I put mine into old pillow cases and rinsed it in the bath tub til the water came out clean. Then I put it in the tank, and put a small filter on there and let it go to work. Cleaned up nicely. I actually plan to take some out and put in about 50lbs of live sand, so it will have appx 30lbs of Home Depot sand, and 50lbs of live sand, which will eventually turn the HD sand live.
