Sun coral or dendros?

I am looking to buy a regular sun coral frag or a Dendrophyllia. I was told they look alike but not the same coral. Anyway can I get some feed back on them? Pros cons whatever. Iam kinda leaning twards the dendros. Thank you.

I have only had sun corals. They require regular target feeding to maintain their health. The only problem I had is they never opened up during the daytime ( lights on).

agsansoo, did you place them under subdued light? Sun corals prefer lower light levels than most similar polyps. when they're exposed to light, they won't open.

I think both corals look similar, i like both. good luck with your tank.

I read somewhere that people put sun corals underneath a 'skirt' of rock or an overhang so its in the shade ;P

I also only kept the sun coral, not sure about the dendros. So I can only barely add to what has been said. I kept them under an overhang. They do require target feeding. I used to use tweezers to feed them directly. I also had luck with putting a small powerhead pointed their way so during feeding times it would blow food over them. Worked pretty well, except getting the currents just right to blow food their way took some time.
From what I read the two corals are fairly similar.
