Star polyp question

I'm a reef tank newbie, trying to take everything sloooow. About 6 wks ago I bought a colony of 2 colors of zoanthids, a purple mushroom, and some star polyp, kind of a wavy, pinkish-tan coral with purple centers. Yesterday afternoon I noticed the stars had closed up. I've never seen them closed during the day, and this morning they did not open up. I have two other colonies of different star polyps but they're fine.

Can anyone think of something that might be wrong? It's a 24g aqua-pod, I last did a water change about a week ago. I went ahead and did the wc I was starting when I noticed the corals.

The tank also has another purple mushroom, and a kenya tree, some snails and a couple of damsels.

I would suggest putting more water flow over them. They like moderate flow. What type of lighting do you have ?

I do have a koralia powerhead I can work with...

My lighting is, according to the AquaPod makers:
One 32 watt Dual SunPaq Daylight, one 32 watt Dual SunPaq Actinic and two Nocturnal Blube Lunar lights
However, the coral isn't directly under it, it's on a live rock that stands upright in the sand; think of maybe a dinner plate on edge. The coral then is on the plate surface. That would put it about 90degrees from the lights. There's still a lot of the light on them, though.

Thanks for the suggestion! Anything else that comes to mind I'd love to hear!

YAY! The polyps began to open again on day 9. About half of them opened. At least they haven't died!
Do I need something additional in the water or sand, phyto- or zooplankton? krill? Animal, vegetable, mineral? I really want these to thrive.

I'll post pictures tomorrow.
