That didn't take long!

My wife rang me at work yesterday morning to tell me that one of the two Mystery Snails I added last week had gone missing. She thought it had gone off and died somewhere because the night before, she had startled it. I wish I had seen it, but it was on a small rock and did a pirouette and land 6 inches away from where it was! ( didn't know that was possible )
I suggested she look in case it somehow got out of the water. Minutes later she rang and said there was something hanging down from one of the glass lids right at the back of the tank, and going by the explanation, I knew it was eggs.

As I have read, it does resemble a large lump of pink bubble gum. I should have little ones in 2 - 3 weeks. I may have to set up my baby tank again if I want to keep any. Mother is alive and well, and....eating, as they do!

Serious Egg Layer!

I am amazed how this girl keeps laying these eggs every few days! She now has a favorite spot on one of the lids!

Hello Life. Wow! Now that is a bunch of eggs! I'm still waiting on my first batch to hatch. You and Nick both should be passing out cigars today!
Best of luck!
Ken
Life I moved your thread to fresh water inverts/snails. Thanks!

Hi Ken. I certainly have a few baby snails about. I notice them come out more at night. It will be interesting to see if any make it to adulthood. I think the loaches are keeping the numbers down.
