Help: my snail is floating

What's wrong with my snail?? It's floating at the top of the water. It's not dead it just came out of its shell some but do they usually do that or is something wrong with it?

Ok, now he is back on the glass and moving around fine.

floating is normal behaviour. my kids think its hilarious. they watch and wait for them to "fart", the air bubbles come out, adn the snail floats down. LOL

lol ok. I wasn't sure, I've never seen them do that and I don't know much about snails. Thanks
