Snails not dead but not moving either!

Hi everyone!

like one week ago i noticed my male mystery snail wasnt moving from the same place for a couple of days, I touched the door to see if closed it and he did. Then, he just sat in the same spot for days. I touched him every day to see if he is still alive and he still is, but he is just not moving.

Then, a couple of days later my big, female MS started with the same behavior... whats wrong with them?

Mine did that for a week. Then he just started moving around again. CWC told me that it's normal snail behavior.

I'm sorry your snails aren't well.
I know your hex is going through a mini cycle, you've probably already checked the water parameters?

Considering what Amanda said, it might help to pm CWC.

Good luck, I hope it's normal snail behavior.

Check the applesnail.net forums as well. I do know alot of people have issues with snails doing that but I don't know why.

Lucy, I will do a water change... but they are not in the same tank as my betta, they are in my 28 community.

and no, they have mated before but they have never acted like this... I was thinking there might be copper in my tap? (my ghost shrimp died...)

and yes, I will go to the applesnail forum... they have to know whats going on there!

Maybe you should test your tap water for copper if that's what you suspect.
Let us know how they're doing.

Let me know what you hear from the applesnail forum! I'm curious too. Anyone want an egg clutch? I've got 3 I know are fertilized, one that probably is, and I think she's laying another!
