I got some of those little snails they give away for free at the fish stores, and I've kept them and they've started breeding and laying eggs. I was wondering how long it usually takes for them to hatch. And also, what kind of food and conditions are best for them. Thanks! Maybe I should mention I'm breeding them to feed to my green spotted puffers.

Don't know how long until they hatch. Usually only a couple of days, I think. They will eat nearly anything, but seem to swarm toward things like lettuce and cucumber. Keep the water relatively clean (although some nitrates and phosphates will feed an algae bloom, which will help keep the snails happy.

How big are they when they hatch? And are there babies every time they lay eggs? Cause I have tons of eggs, but I don't know if they're fertile or whatever.

Did you get common pond snails? If so, they'll be fertile, and they'll reproduce like crazy.

I'm not sure, they're just those little brown ones that are always infesting the tanks at pet stores.
