mystery or apple

ok, i got myself a new aquarium recently and along with my fishes i got two mystery snails, a gold one and a black one of exactly the same size. Now, like 3 weeks later the gold one is like TWO INCHES which is twice as big as the other snail... is it a different type? or different sex? maybe an apple? i dont really know that much abt snails so..

If you post a pic, I'm sure someone around will know the difference.

I believe they are a type of apple snail. I have several and the yellow ones seem to grow faster even though they are the same snail just diff color.

it also depends on what kind of snail they are - does the yellow one eat plants and the other one not? if so, the yellow might be a cana (grows to about apple sized) and the other a brig (grows to about golf ball sized)

no... they even barely eat the veggies I give them! (which surprises me a lot)
