Killing Snails

I have a 10G tank that has pond snails, I want to get rid of the snails. If I use "Snail-rid" or pennys what would I have to do to make the water safe for Shrimp?

I want to get rid of ALL the snails in the tank, not just manage the numbers.

To guarantee the removal of all of them, I would recommend 100% removal you would probably have to do a break down. Or get some yoyo loaches. But controlling the population is easier. you can do this be using lettace, by not overfeeding, and by physical removal.

I would not use snail-rid or anything of the sort. I generally ignore the pond snails. They explode for awhile as they feed on the minute bit of algae/detritus that covers everything in your tank, then they settle down. After that, as long as the tank isn't overfed, and as long as water changes are done regularly, there aren't so many of them.
