I have a ten gallon tank with tetras and oto's only. My new golden mystery snail was inactive for 2 days, I come home from work tonight and its gone. Will they leave the tank? My tank hood has lots of room for something to escape. I guess I'll find it by following the stench!

Mystery snails will only go out of water to LAY EGGS. But they also have a habit of burying themselves within the substrate.

Also they are known to be quite the explorers, and sometimes leave the tank if food is in short supply or just to leave. So after you look in the tank REALY GOOD check your room for the little explorer.
