I have a small mystery snail that shares a 2.5 gallon tank with a betta. There doesn't seem to be much, if any, algea in the tank. I'm wondering how often should I give him an algea wafer? I read somewhere that the wafer should not be left in for more than a few days. I originally put in one wafer and he didn't eat it all in one two days so I took it out.

I was thinking of putting only 1/2 a wafer in once a week. Is this enough for a small snail?

I have a small apple snail that lives with red cherry red shrimp, 3 little platies and pond snails(clown loache food). I feed the tank one algea wafer once or twice aweek. I also feed the platies twice aday. but I'm want snails to feed to my loaches
