Yea so my snail tried to eat me today. He decided to land on my hand as I was cleaning algae off my tank and he commenced with the munching of my finger. I must say I freaked out a little at first but then realized it felt much like being licked by a cat. Not painful at all, just scratchy. Much to my relief lol. So not to worry, no wounds were made. I am completely in tact.
That is my story for today.

Yea I was THIS close to flicking the bejeezus outta him, but I stopped myself. lol It's funny cuz he wouldn't come off either. I tried pulling him off but he wouldn't budge so I ended up having to touch his squishy parts until he decided to let go.
As soon as he hit the gravel he popped right back out and continued munching. Big fatty.
Ok so after my snail tried to eat me I noticed an interesting new habit he developed to pass the time.
He has discovered the bubble stone. Not only has he discovered it, he RIDES it. Oh yea.
He goes over to it and sticks his face into it, which is in itself hilarious. Picture a person with a leaf blower in their face...now replace the person with a snail. Thats what it looks like.
Then he gets his whole body over the bubble stream and flies up to the top and sort of bobs there for a few seconds before he floats off. Then he lets out a steady stream of bubbles himself to get back down and does it all over again. I've seen him do it about 5 times in a row on any given day.
I have taken a few photos to show you this process. Enjoy.

Oh Maggie! I'm loving this thread of yours. This is hilarious! It reminds me of bears when they go up a snowy mountain peak and slide back down for no other apparent reason other than for entertainment! Ever since I was a little kid and my parents introduced me to the TV show, The Animal Kingdom I have been very fascinated with animal behavior. So much so that for many years now I have also been interested in human behavior. Maybe its just my overall curiosity.
I don't suppose I can bug you for a vid of the snail run?
Remember how Winnie the Pooh used to grab his feet and roll on his back as he laughed? Now mix that with Laughing Elmo and you've got ME pictured at the moment! ROTFL
