A snail is "born".

A snail appeared in my tank.
Is that a common thing to happen? I didn't put it in there.
Anyway, we have adopted it, and its name is Trifonas. (my wife named it).

Have you put any plants in your tank? It's pretty common for snails or snail eggs to hitch rides on plants.

That's it then. I put a new plant a couple of weeks ago.
