Mystery snail compatibility

Has anyone ever heard of problems between Snails and Molies. My black molly female loves to pick at the snail, mostly its shell. I wasnt to worried at first as she left its squishy parts alone, but now chunks of shell on the front where the door should sit are missing. Ive migrated him to my 10g and hes ok there for now, but I really wanted a snail in my 55. What do you think?

Re: Mystery snail compatibility

If the fish are large enough to disturb the snail, I would keep it away from them. I had fish that would just periodically bowl my mystery snail over, and it ended up dying, I'm pretty sure due to starvation because they didn't let it stay upright at all.

Re: Mystery snail compatibility

i having the same problem with my new snail and my tetras. my tetras keep picking at its antennae (or eye stalks, not sure what they are called) and now it is just sitting in the corner all balled up. does anyone know if the tetras will end up hurting it? my guppies occasionally pick at its shell too but i don't think its done any harm. at least not yet. are snails compatible with guppies and tetras? if not i don't have anywhere else to move him. should i take it back to the pets store maybe?
