My science teacher said that you could but snails from your back yard into your tank. Can you?

i'd HIGHLY advise against it. you can introduce all kinds of disease or sicknesses dropping backyard things into your tank. Many types of snails also are a hated menace in an aquarium due to their ability to breed at amazing rates and survive all kinds of attempts to wipe them out.

I'd say no too. They are dirty yucky things and very likely to mess up your tank.

I'm surprised your science teacher would tell you to throw backyard snails into your tank.

Simple answer is a definite NO. Backyard snails are land snails & not aquatic snails.They are therefore not adapted to life under water and will quickly die and pollute your tank.

Maybe the teacher meant to add them as food but I still wouldn't for all teh reaons listed above.

there are many other pretty snails u can get for your tank though...suchas a aple snail..which are white theyre my favorite!

apple snails actually come in a lot of different colors. i personally thought that the purples were the best looking
