Hello ALL, I'm so happy to find this site with so many nice people with great experience. Just yesterday I got a 55 gal tank from an acquaintance so that I could house my four
betta boys in more space. Never had such a large tank and never any other kind of fish. The deal was I adopted her last two fish: a 7 yr old Silver Dollar and Black skirt tetra. All she said is that they are old. Never seen them in their tank -- she had it broken down when I got there. When I got home I realized that the Silver Dollar has what looks like a solid white U shaped scar over each eye and has to struggle to "look around" it! This seems really bizarre to me and she never mentioned that her fish was blind. The tetra also seems blind, eyes cloudy. Other than that they are very healthy looking. The Silver dollar goes around the temporary holding tank bumping the sides with its eyeballs. I'm thinking he may have started this behavior from being startled, possibly not having a school to run in and just got more scarring and more and now he just bumps around. Has anyone EVER heard of such a thing

Please help if you can. Thank you. = ]
