Myleus rubripinnis eating Tetras?

I'm pretty sure that my "red hook" silver dollars are eating up my mixed cardinal/neon tetra school.

I know, I know - they should be vegetarians, but I just don't think they are.

But they will also eat anything small enough to go into there mouth. Most fish will.

To true, Carol, too true. I'd read that before, but was gambling that I'd get away with it.

The aggro one definitely got a good piece of my finger this morning while feeding them. No blood, but it hurt well enough for me to jerk my hand out of the water - and he held on!

Metynnis argenteus) are Herbivores.
Myleus rubripinnis are Omnivores both are silver dollars but their eating habits are a bit different. He still needs some vegetable matter as well as animal protein.
