Amano Shrimp and Multi Nutrient

Hello, we have 5 Amano Shrimp in our 55 gal planted tank and we have definitely developed a little bit of a soft spot for them (they were our first inhabitants and they are so entertaining to watch). Our LFS recommended we start using a multi nutrient for our plants to supplement our substrate but I am a little worried since copper is listed among the ingredients. LFS sais it will be fine and I usually go with what they say (they are awesome and have helped us a lot every step of the way) but I can't help being a little wary. Poor guys have already lived through ICH treatment and all have molted in the past few weeks. I would appreciate any input? The multi nutrient is FlorinMulti brand Multi-Nutrient with Iron and iodine. (I also understand the Iodine promotes growth in invertebrates?)

Hi Kat and WELCOME TO FISHLORE!

at what point does copper become harmful to shrimp?

You can check out this link which leads to one of the forums on this site about your situation. Hope it helps. Good luck!
