Well I got back from being out of town for the weekend, and I discovered something in my tank that LED me to think that perhaps a bamboo shrimp was not fit for my community tank after all.

However, it wasnt a dead shrimp, it was his old shell! The shrimp was alive and well on some driftwood. I was glad to find that he was able to molt without being attacked by anything else in the tank. Maybe next time I will be able to see it.

Well unfortunately he passed days later for unexplained reasons.... poor Mr. Pinchy

Aww that sucks man. But isn't it trippy when they molt?

Hello jPrime. It's my understanding that once a crab or shrimp molts, they are in their most vulnerable stages. (concerning water conditions and disease). Sorry to hear that you lost him.
