Freebie! I love my new shrimp :)

On a whim I went to Petco Pasadena for plants, I am rebuilding my 55g after taking it down for a fumigation :/ and thought my tank looked a little bare ... I get there and see my fish guy ^^ he's sweet and we talk often, he told me he quit the aquatic dept because his co worker was getting credited for all the maintenance on the tanks and he was tired of taking care of the fish dept by himself, said co worker did water changes without putting in the conditioner!

I tell him that's horrible but at least I'm glad he still works there, so he asks if I want his amano shrimp, and after spotting one I squealed and said "yes!" lol they are cute he said that feels better giving them to me than leaving them in the tank to die (because of co workers who don't maintenance well)

we found 6 of them and right now they are settling in And yes I found a healthy amazon and onion plant, just need to buy more ludgia (sp?)

Shrimps are very cool...the way they walk...they often shed their skin ...very interesting. Congrats.

Shrimp rule! They tend to get lost in big tanks but they're still cool when you see them.
