Hello, I have a twenty gallon tank with tiger barbs, a dwarf gourami, and six Kuhli Loaches. What type of shrimp would you all recommend, and how many of them should I get? Thanks for your time.

is the tank heavily planted so they can get away? im not sure but I think your loaches would make a meal of your shrimp...the barbs will pick at them also if they can get a hold of them...hope other members will have advice

I think the tiger barbs will harrass any shrimp you get, probably to death. And small shrimp like RCS would be eaten by the DG.

Okay are there any other invertebrates that could hold their own in this tank?

I have 8 Amano shrimp in my tank, and none of my fish have ever looked twice at them. give them lots of places to hide and lots of plants, and yours should be fine (for sure with the loaches)
