I'm pulling Miyamoto's tank apart in order to install the Zero water change system, and, before I started pulling the gravel out, I thought I'd grab a flashlight and look for the Amano shrimp.
Sure enough, there are three of the little buggers zipping around the tank.
This is absolutely amazing.

Well I'll be....

This was the last time I saw one of them... over a year ago!
I have decided that I'm putting them in a tank that will more or less be their own (I may periodically use it for guppy fry), that I will periodically (and slowly) raise the salinity in, to allow them to breed. They absolutely deserve their own home and breeding rights, given what little survivors they are.

I had a similar experience. I got 12 cherry shrimp from Dino and CWC and I put them in my betta tank. I didn't see them after the first day and I assumed my betta ate them Low and behold, 3 months later I saw one crawling on a leaf. I went through the tank and sure enough all 12 were still alive and healthy. They are so good at hiding lol
