fiddler crabs

I have a crab he is about 1 1/2 in across his body he has been in my tank for 2 months now the LFS told me they were fine in my community tank but the more I have read on this everything says that it needs to be brackish water they need access to dry land mine has none of these. He just cruises the tank always eating. He never bothers any of my fish and they leave him alone as well. I would two if I was them he has a huge claw that he is not afraid to show if something gets to close for him. Should I worry about his health or is he fine?

It seems that all fiddlers need brackish water, and they do need the ability to leave the water. The second can be provided by allowing a clump of fake guppy grass to float upside-down in the tank, or by getting a piece of driftwood and setting it up so it sticks out of the water. A local fish store have packing peanuts floating in the water, and the crabs will float around on them for awhile.

Yes. All of those fish would suffer in brackish water, I'm sorry to say. (Glad the Oscar is getting a new home, BTW)
You could set up a small brackish tank for the fiddler. Maybe a bit of Java moss and some Amano shrimp (or cherry shrimp)
