Hey, Cody? How did you right the name under each picture in that post? I always have to make a list of names on top.

Yes, that's right. One of the bamboo shrimps on the picture has a lot of red in it. I had no idea that existed. Very pretty.

Actually, the red can be brought out from the Bamboo shrimp with calcium. Their exo-skeleton is healthier and in turn creates a stronger color and sometimes will turn red. And sometimes it has to do with gender.

Very nice RCS pics guys! And I love the Amano shrimp and Bamboo Cody! I'm thinking of picking up a bamboo but I don't have enough suspended particles to feed it for long I'm afraid.

Oooooh, that's interesting too. Either way, I'd only ever seen the beige ones, so thanks for posting yours, Cody.

The simplest way to give them is cuttlebone, Pet stores carry cuttlebone in the bird section for hardening beaks and it works for all invertabrates, snails lose the chips in their shells and they can grow thicker.

would it affect water qaulity at all..do they filter it out of the water or do they have to eat off of it

It disintegrates into the water column and they take in the minerals from the water. There are also aquarium special products that come in tubs for putting calcium into the water, but I don't know the names of any.

Sorry about your bird, I love birds. Wish I could get an Aviary for a hawk, but I have to wait.
