berghia nudibranch

hi my friend has a problem with aptasia and was wondering if any one knows anywhere in the uk that she can get some berghia nudibranch from she says she has tried other things to rid the aptasia but to no avail and heard these feed only on aptasia

I've heard of these. As I understand it, the problem with them is that they are obligate feeders on aiptasia, and will die when all the aiptasia are gone. That could spell trouble for water quality. Has your friend tried peppermint shrimp? They don't eat them 100% of the time, but the one I have has done an incredible job in my tank.

hi yes shes tried peppermint shrimp but didnt touch it she realises these will die if no aptasia is avaliable but at the moment she has quite a lot of it so was just going to get a couple to keep them going a while then sell them on once they had sorted her tank but dont have a clue where to get them in the uk ..... and i dont even no what they are lol so cant help at all so thort ide ask the wise

Berghia Nudibrancha are non toxic, if one should die in your tank it wont cause any major problems. Visist www.berghia-uk.com for more info.
