Hi guy i've been looking at my LFS and they have a peacock mantis shrimp for sell its looks awesome!! But i know they can break glass tanks...your apparently ok in a acrylic tank. There really nice and apparently really easy to keep. Did a little study into them there supposed to be one of the most intelligent shrimp there is and they get to know there keeper. The scary part i found it there are 2 kind a "slasher" and a "basher" the basher can break glass and shatter a crabs shell. They actually hit the equivalent of a .22 bullet!! Talk about power for a little bugger!! The other one the "slasher" can actually cut in two a full grown dameselle fish. I can only imagine what i will do to one of your finger if its attacks it. But i have to say if you leave it in a tank of its own its would look really good and is kind of interesting but anyway ever seen one in action? Are they nice to keep or would i be losing my time? (cause i have and older 20g acrylic tank i could you for it if i wanted) Well give me some feed back people ANY feed back.

There are some cool videos of Mantis shrimp on youtube. I have no personal experience, but really enjoyed how cool they would be to keep. They are voracious hunters.

I've seen some of those vids on youtube too. They are amazing hunters!! There's one there of a mantis shrimp going after a emerald crab. Ya..the mantis won that battle!!
