leave shell in

After my coral banded shrimp molts, should I take the shell out or leave it in? I've heard people say both. What does everyone else think?

I usually leave it in. I've seen hermits and the shrimp as well as fish pick at it some so i let them have it. If its floating around or still see it at the next waterchange i take it out.
