Peppermint Shrimp

Can anyone tell me what food Peppermint shrimp require?
My LR has just been placed in the tank and is now curing.
Once the LR has cured can I get peppermint shrimp or do I need to wait untill
something else grows? or can I feed them?

They are mostly scavengers. A lot of people like them because they will eat apstasia, a pest type of coral. I would wait two months or more because shrimp are delicate, I would get snails and crabs and other inverts before adding shirmp.

no problem. O and just to let you know if you want an active shrimp these guys aren't so active during the day, they tend to stay in dark areas and come out at night, they don't like bright light but they do work good at eating apstasia and cleaning.

Thats cool. The base rock and LR we have has caves and lots of places to hide. The main attraction will be the seahorses any way. thanks again
