Tiger serpent sea star

I recently picked up a 24g nano cube with 15g sump (being converted to refugium).

I was wondering if the serpent star will eat any cleaner shrimp i put in with him?

He lives with various corals, 7 blue legged hermit crab, watchman goby and a canary wrasse.

I would love to get a cleaner shrimp but can not find huge amounts of information about the sea star to know if this will work.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am not going to lie, there is a good chance that the star will eat the shrimp if put in there. I wouldn't risk it. You just have to choose which one you want more in this case. That is my opinion. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on saltwater inverts will shine a light on this question.

Oh well expensive lesson learned.

That's the one,

He needs a bigger tank, but the hubby is getting interested in a bigger salt tank. So hopefully in a year or so he will be given more room to grow.

Then there is a good chance he ate the shrimp, sorry.

Well that's great. Now just try and talk him into getting a 180 saltwater and everything will be doing great.

Good point, so go for the 200 gallon instead then.
