My new toy - VorTech MP40w

Well I finally got one. I've replaced all my powerheads with one VorTech pump.

Wow, impressive water movement!

Congratulations on this upgrade (from the FW and just recently Brackish side of fishkeeping)

Thanks pepetj. The flow is a little stronger than I thought it was going to be. I have removed two Maxi-jet mods and two k3's. Already my tank temp has droped 4 degrees ! So far I'm very pleased.

Shawnie, Thank you. The VorTech pump is a high tech, high output (1000 to 3200 gallons per hour) pump with a controller attached to it. The controller lets you set the speed of the flow and type of flow your tank requires. In my video you can see the wave effect, as the water rocks from side to side. It also is a wireless (like bluetooth) controller, so you can sync multiple VorTech pumps to work together. One master, the others slaves. I hope this makes sense ?

I've been wanting to get one or two of these as well. They are pricey though. Thanks for showing the video. Makes me want one even more now.

Price is getting a little better lately. A LFS gave me a deal I couldn't pass up.
