another powerhead queation

I have an aquaclear powerhead.. it has an air intake option to add some bubbles to the flow.. the guy at the fish store said there was no need for the air attachment when it is in a SW tank.. ive never used the air attachment in a sw tank myself but it looks kinda cool i am just wondering what the benefits and negatives would be of using the air bubbles.. any thoughts??
here is a pic of the powerhead if that helps

No don't want it. Can go in membranes of corals and injure them and I think fish and inverts too.

and it could increase the rate and amount of "salt creep" when the bubbles pop at the surface.
