Heater

I have a 110g tank, I have everything set up the only thing I am missing is the heater. What size heater do I need for a 110g reef tank?

Thanks!

I would suggest 2 200w or even 2 250w. By having 2 you eliminate cold spots in your tank. Too, should 1 quit working you have a back up already in the tank.

agreed personally i would go with the marineland visi-therm stealth shatterproof heaters, they have a lifetime guarantee and i love every marineland product i've used so far

Personally I would go with 2x 250W. I have 2x 200W Stealths and they barely keep up with my 90g (which is actually about 100g of water when you count the 20g sump). When one failed the other day (my fault...let a sump compartment get too low so it turned itself off...worked fine once I added water) my temp plummeted from 78 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit and was still going...thank goodness I happened to glance at my thermometer or I could have a rather empty tank :s.

The Stealths are great though...I love 'em

Good luck

It all depends on your room temp. If at 68F or above but not lower, Should be able to handle with 2 x 300W (average of 5W/Gal). I think price difference b/n 250 and 300 is couple of bucks.
