Stands

So i recently picked up a (Previously purchased but never used) 90 gallon tank (Dual T5 Fixture and Fluval 405 included) for $150. Oh my god what a steal on my part! But it has no stand so im going to build one myself. I know you have to distribute all of the weight on the four corners(Im going to put six legs on this one) but i don't really know the best design, or wood to use. Anyone have any ideas/experiences?

hi i'm in the process of building a stand for a 29 gallon, it should be really sturdy for you. the only thing i might suggest is using 4x4s for the leg posts instead of 2x4s for extra support.

Love the hardwoods, oak is my fav. Finishes great. (nice stand Riv, I like) I made this one for my daughter to view, used 1/2 plywood over 2x4 frame and trimmed it out. It holds my 30 gal f/w, of course I don't have the equip. to store. Good luck.

That's an awesome cool idea to use the bottom like a book shelf or storage. Specially on kids rooms. (They Need it) Me an my wife are going nuts with so many toys and stuff.
