New Tank turning green/brown

Hi all
I set up this tank a week and a half ago and the aragonite and the outside of the heater are already showing signs of algae.
65 W 10,000K daylight/460 nm Actinic 65 W
http://www.current-usa.com/satellite.html
Model 1006
What gives?
On too long?
All water params are near zero as it is a new tank with established rock
(my old tank sprung a leak)
Used treated tap water but so do a lot of people.
I posted in here cuz there are more people online.

Green algae is a sign of too much light. Brown algae is a sign of not enough light. I have my tank lights on timers and they are on 12 hours per day. The brown algae (and or diatoms) should get under control in a few months. My bulbs are full spectrum. Some algae is just going to happen period. Adjust your lighting time and have patience it will get better.

Snails would help, as would cutting back the lighting. Protein skimmer would be a good idea too.
