what do i need for a saltwater aquarium

i have been thinking of sw for a while now and i was just wondering, what, in a nut shell, do i need for it. Also how do i alcaim fish to it, also in a nut shell

well good external filter, protein skimmer , strong lighting, good heater, salt water mix


accimilating fish is a lot slower

with lighting u may get some coreosion eliminating the salt in the water there is a german engineered brand that i magnificent at tanks it can be a SW or FW they are really good i'll get the brand name for it

It depends on what kind of salt water tank you want to set up. If you want to do a fish only with live rock (FOWLR), you can get away with less filtration...I have an aquaclear HOB on my tank, for example. You can also just use standard lights for a FOWLR. However, if you want to keep corals, you need to start upgrading the equipment. Lighting, in particular, needs to be much stronger for reef setups. And the lighting set ups for those tanks gets real expensive, real fast. You do not need air stones for sw. Yes, there is different food for sw species.

try checking out a tank brand called juwul they make really good tank in build filter and sutible tank and i think it could have some coral in there as well
