Blue Sponge

Does anybody know much about lighting for sponges? I have a blue one that is a new addition to my tank and it is quickly losing color. I have recently moved it down away from the light a bit, but noone seems to know for sure. I know some sponges grow in caves, but others close to surface. I would appriciate any input.

They need moderate to high water flow, with low levels of light. So bottom of tank is fine.

Lowered him today, but not all the way to the bottom. Any chance of regaining color? I've spoke with a lot of people here and it's constantly mixed revues.

Sponges are always hard to keep because they are so varied from one to the next :[

RIP Mr blue. I should have known to follow my gut feeling. I bought blue from a different location of my LFS, but felt when I first saw their fish room, that it needed help. It seemed like a lot of the fish were mal nurrished, and the coral tanks were just not impressive. Blue looked great the day of purchase, but the blue next to him was losing it's color. I regret being to eager. My blue started losing it's color the very next day and was history in three weeks. Lesson learned? When your not impressed, don't buy anything.
