Invertabrates Dead. :(

My hermit crabs didn't die after all(I thought they had). I left them in the tank because I took one and replaced it and it moved from where I had put it so now I see them climbing the rocks again and hermit crabbing. My snails did died and it appears my fan worm died. It doesn't come out anymore and I see a closed tube. It was my fault for placing it near a fish crossing area, it must have been threatened or stressed too much and it always hid so it couldn't have eaten as much. It was an expensive one too. Rest in peace.

Does anyone have any solutions to the dying invert problem or other thoughts on what may have caused the deaths of these invertebrates?

I'm sorry your inverts died. I don't know anything about saltwater, but it sounds hard. I know someone should come by soon with good advice. RIP SW inverts.

I think it is because of the salinity swings I will try keeping my water level in control. The fish were discolored(blue damsel looked dark blue). I didn't add water the day before I think my last snail died and the fanworm died. I unfortunately forgot. I blame homework.

I think it is red slime algae although I may not see any on the sand, I see it on the glass. I am adding activated carbon to the filter floss.
