Hey all...

Just picked up some new mushrooms this afternoon...seven total!! And a variety of colors too!! The rock even had a little snail and a blue legged hermit...quite exciting!! Here is a picture of a few of them. Any recommendations on feeding or basic care would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!

Awesome, it's always fun getting new corals. Mushrooms don't sound all that great but man they can sport some serious colors, are fairly hardy and they usually grow relatively quickly too. Generally speaking, keep your alkalinity, calcium, pH, salinity in line and low to moderate flow and lighting with little to no supplemental feeding. They get energy from the zooxanthellae and DOC.

That pic is a psd file. I think you need photoshop to view it?

From photoshop, can you select File -> Save As and then select jpeg in the file types drop down?

I'm new here at Fish Lore. But this may help.A program named "Snag it".I use it
to reduce the file size, without reducing the size the of photo. Most of my original
photo's are approximately 3mb.I can reduce that to approximately 300kb without
reducing the photo at all.You can save as .jpg or a variety of others.Your
mushrooms look good,I hope to get some soon myself.

Just a quick suggestion when using Photoshop. First thing is to reduce the size of the pic to around 800x600 or so (click on Image, Image Size). Then do a Save As and save it as a JPEG. That should get the pic down to a proper size while still maintaining a good size pic.

You can even adjust the compression level when you save it which will also reduce the size further. Just understand, the greater the compression, the pic looses quality.
