starfish + crabs help

I am starting a saltwater fish tank and II really do like starfish and crabs! what are some easy to care for and inexpensive crabs and starfish. or even shrimp?

try chocolate chip starfish, they're pretty hardy and not on the really expensive side. Also try some peppermint shrimp (removes glass anemone problem), cleaner shrimp (helps fight parasites and such, or maybe a coral banded shrimp, they're pretty.

I tried cleaner shrimp. they died unexpectedly. It was a waste of $22. I couldn't find any chocolate chip stars. but If I do find one ill be sure to buy it...if it looks healthy.

sorry i missed this i hope you aint found a chocolate chip yet as they eat inverts if they can catch them so not a good idea should be put in a fish only tank, no inverts or soft corals

Definitely no corals if you get the chocolate chip star fish. From what I've read, they can mow through soft corals quite quickly.
