ive got some pics under the new lights.. im really happy about this new light set up.. i dont have a good way to mount it yet.. im using shot glasses.. everything looks alot better
thanks for the comments
the tank is doing really well ive added some more purple zoos and i fnally got my xenia to attach to a nice rock
also i picked up a mated pair of cinamon clowns they are awesome i will try to get some pics up today after i do a little algae clean up
here are a few more
the xenia is hard to get a god picture of because its not very big yet it is on the round upper rock in the first picture
gotta love those clown fish
im gonna try to breed them eventually we will see what happens
i got the shrimp at a local saltwater fish shop.. ita a great place, the guy that owns it has a free public aquarium just to help get people interested in the saltwater hobby
im not sure how much total rock i will put in* *but im going to order about 30lbs of it to get the base set up* *then build from there with corals
I'm jealous! in our little town, all i can find is a small selection of fish at petco (ours never seems to have anemone).* Funny, being in FL, but that's the small town thing.* well, when we're ready for the saltwater plunge, we'll find a place we can drive to (might be cheaper than shipping if we get everything we need in 1 trip.)
I love the live rock! It's great to see what you will get on yours, i'm looking forward to that when we do our 1st sw tank - look forward to pics of what you get in your rock too.
Whereabouts are you in Florida? I've got an uncle living in Jacksonville.... Talk about small town...
LOL.. jax isn't as small anymore with the growth spike lately.. and they have the murder rate to prove it! we're just south of jax.
Man!!! Last time I went there was early 90's they just got mcdonald's I think.... LOL but when I was a kid, we visited them.... mid 80's and jacsonville only had 1 (ONE) stoplight.... anyway it's a pretty cool place....

you sure you're thinking of jacksonville, FL? they had a decent size city in the 80s, we went thru quite a few stoplights just on southside blvd going up to the Regency mall until the Avenues mall got built around 1990. and even back then, downtown was a mess of traffic & lights, etc.
I went to Jacksonville in the late 80's and it was already not that small. Mind, I chose to live in a tiny European village, away from the bussle, so what do I know!

my family moved here in 1975, so we'd go up to jacksonville a bit. by '89 that's where me and a friend would go while the other students were in school.
