Looks like it might be branches of old, dead coral.

Tank looks really neat. Is it going to be a fish only or will it have coral?

If it's going to be a reef tank, what I'd really like to see are the above photos, followed by the photos immediately after the coral initially goes in, followed by what it looks like in six months, a year, etc...
It'd be really neat to see the growth.

Yes sirdarksol, those type of pics are really nice to see.

That would not be wood in there, it is usually called branch live rock. It's live rock that looks more like a branch.

Ummm... did anyone realize that I was pulling up old threads? The thread poster has not been active since June! I was asking anyone else that might see my question, which I now have answered (thanks SirDarkSol).

yea.. with the new software, i can set the settings for old posts to display to 1 month. helps keep the lists of posts shorter to go thru.

Oh, its not that. Its just that some where asking questions of the member who posted this thread. I don't think they'll be answering anytime soon. I posted on it because I wanted someone to answer a question about it.

Ya I've noticed you've been pulling up old threads. if you need a question answered just post it, don't worry about posting too much if you have questions, it just may take a day or more to get answered.

I'm not worried about that at all. I just am intrigued by something I find in an old thread and would rather revive it to get it going again and seing what info I can get under the original poster's perspective. After all, its what THEY posted that got me intrigued in the first place.
