| The Blue coral inbetween my sunset mili and my joe the coral started to bleach suddenly. (I think I've been slacking on water checks as they were terrible when I checked yesterday) So I fragged it into three and move it to my 65. Hope they get better. |

| The SPS or the one at the back? The one at the back is a rose bubble tip anemone and the SPS is a pink birdsnest. |

| The tank is not going so well.........
All started when I received my pacakge from hawaii with two butterflies and a moorish idol.
I knew what I was going to face with the moorish idol, but something unexpected happened. It was showing good signs and have started to eat on the 2nd week when it suddenly got ICH on the 3rd week. Since I noticed the ich, I knew its survivability chance just took a dump.
I tried to find cleaners to help prevent my otherfish from getting ich, but all 4 of my LFS were out of stock. I was going to set up a QT, but accidently broke the tank and injured my arm because of broken glass. Because of the arm and a broken tank, I knew that I could not set one up in time. All of the fish died.
A week later, my LFS had a sale and I saw a really nice blonde naso for 60 dollars. I was impatient and did not wait atleast 3 months before adding any fish. The naso died after two weeks because of ich and the foxface probably isn't going to make it. (different foxface from previous pics. The one from the pics is in my reef tank)
If the foxface dies, I'm just going to take down the tank and kill the rock to start over. I'm too tired of all the losses and starting over sounds faster than waiting 8 weeks to make sure all ich goes away.
btw, my anemone spit in my 120 so I have 2 now |

foxface looks better. The fish use to have like black patches, but their suddenly gone. I did dose some Ich-X (I know they don't always work) and no rapid improvement. A few days ago, I dosed some copper in the DT (half dosage) to see what happens a few days ago. About 70% percent of the corals that are in that tank bleached and about 1/2 died. No ill affects on any inverts yet. The foxface looks better now and I hope for the best.
Future stocking list in about 2-3 months:
Blonde Naso Tang
Blue Jaw triggerfish
Butterflyfish (either aurigia, banner fish, saddleback, teardrop, or any other that I see that looks nice )
and thanks lorabell. Hope anyones tank never experience this |

| I think its safe to say that my foxface is healed. There could still be ich and maybe the foxface might not have it because of his immune system so I'll still have to wait atleast one more month (impatient again )
Some pics.
Coral that I moved to 120 as soon as I realized that I just put copper (its back in the 125 in the pic)
Coral that I did not move to the 120 and observed what happened
Coral that I moved to the 120, but a little late. (this was on accident. I did not meant to do it with this one One of my bonsai and pink mili frags.
I left all softies in the 125. Some mushrooms kinda melt, but most are still happy. |

| oh i just read your whole thread. Your tank is amazing. so sorry to hear the last part and about your loses.
I ve just set p a 200lt reef tank, but only have 2 clowns, and 2 corals so far. i am taking it slow and enjoying every minute of it. I have a small problem with GHA, just added few more turbos to see if they help. Other than that i think all is going well and one day i ll have a tank as beautiful as yours.
Hope you get things sorted soonish. |

| Turbos are pretty good. Also try and increase mganesium. It should kill your GHA without affecting other things.

The foxface is looking its best now and ecerything is healed. Fortunately, the purple rim monti cap that turned white is green again. I've also added about 35 more pounds of live rock. I'm searching for either 2 bannerfish or a blonde naso as of now. Which ever comes first
I'm also moving the tank next month.

My 120 on the other hand is pretty bad. The corals started to bleach again and I found out that my temp. is 88 degrees. Nothing wrong with heater, but with canopy and lights. The cano[y gots to go because of that. As soon as I removed the canopy, temperature started to drop pretty fast. I redesign my plan a bit Last edited by ATP; June 3rd, 2010 at 09:15 AM.

They than wanted to sell it because of GHA. I gave it a try about a year ago and rid of the algae, upgraded this and that. They were kinda upset about the cost at first, but now we have two tanks lol. |

Know how you feel. When I use to keep FW, (I do still keep goldfish ) I had to purchase everything. For about three months I didn't get allowance (got like a C in english or one of those subjects) and had a hard time maintaing it.
I started to sell extra things I don't need on craigslist for money. I basicly sacrificed all of my FW (except goldfish) for corals and other reef related stuff. |

I than started to clean it out, re stain the stand nad make it look brand new. Also did a little thing like buy it within this first week and you'll get a better power filter or get an airpump (I had a whole box of airpumps from used tanks I bought lol) |
