| Thanks everyone So far he hasn't touched any corals so it's good. (depending on the fish, they may nip corals. 50/50 chance)
Just got home from my LFS to get RO/DI water since I have to shut off mine because of winter. I looked at my tank and saw my naso stuck to one of the koralias. (power heads). I immediately shut off the powerhead and looked at his body and has some marks. Good thing the part of his body that got stuck was not his face or fins. He looks better now and I'm leaving the powerhead off till tomorrow. Will replace it with another mp40 soon. |

| umphhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The naso will probably die tomorrow. My guess is he doesn't eat as much. He eats, but not as much as the other fish. The disappointing part is that his body looks healthy. Since he doesn't look think I wasn't worrying, but now he's sick and that's the only reason I could think if. Water parameters are the same and no sign of stress/diseases. |

I just remove a few cups worth of GHA from my overflow lol. That's the reason I never posted the middle section of my tank. Only the sides. I finally decided to do it today. It was so discusting and some of it fell into the pipe to the sump and my skimmer was just overflowing like crazy.
The middle part contanis mainly softies because It's the part that the halides doesn't hit as much.

| The tank look awesome ! Welcome to the BB club. As for a coral to buy, I really like ORA corals. A little pricey sometimes, but are more hardy. Look to add color to your tank. Red's and purple are always in demand. Good job & good luck. |

| How's your flame angel doing with the coral?
As for a coral: montipora capricornis. Get a green one! |

| If you want ATP, you can stop by my house and help me set up my new tank. With pictures like that, you can obviously teach me a thing or two on how to make a reef tank GORGEOUS!!!

| Agsnaso-I really like ORA as well. I have their birdsnest, joe the coral, blue milipora, pink mili, and a few others. They're colors are amazing. Thinking about they're oregon tort.
Shock-my flame ngels doing great. He almost always nips at rocks, but I've only seen hip nip at an anemone once, but that's the only time. Maybe there's some food on the anemoe I don't no, but that's the only time. I do have 2 green with purple rim monti cap, 1 red monti cap, and 1 orange monti cap. They look great especially the purple rim.
David C-lol. Might not be able to help you set up, but I'll help anyone who are intereted in Reefs anytime throught the forum.
and Thanks everyone for the comments

| sadening...... my last banner fish got attacked by my flame for some reason suddenly and it looks pretty bad. I don't know what to do. Can't really cath him and put him to another tank because He's deep inside the rocks.
btw, I got a purple haze monti, but that's it. I was kind of late so a lot of the corals are gone |

| LOL. wanted to get just oregon tort.
Well. instead, I got an oregon tort, an australian sps thing that's going to be banned in u.s., an orange odd looking sps thing, another sps thing that looks similar to my joe the coral, and probably a marineland 300 gallon starphire front glass tank with dual corner overflow, stand, sump/ refugim We're going to see the tank either this sunday or next sunday
oregon tort:
banned sps thing:couldn't get clear picture as some sand fell out of rocks and my power head made them fly everywhere
orange thing:
Joe the coral thing: |

| oregon tort is bleaching......-_-
everything was fine until yesterday. I think eitther a crab broke one of the bumpy part of the coral where the polyps comes out or either a fish nipped it. If a fish, first I would suspect is either the angel, or the lawnmower. Yesterday I saw one of the bumpy thing broke and now where the place it broke is completely white.... |

Dave | Thanks, can't wait to set it up.
Plan is to use two skimmers. ASM 400+ in the sump and with addition of an ETSS 800 with GEN-X70 outside the sump. An Iwaki 55 RLT as a return and a refugim which looks like it holds 30 gallons of water. Waterflow (not including return) will include two vortech mp40s. The lighting will be 4x110 watts VHO, 2x275 watts halides on the side and a 400 watt halides on the middle. All halides will have lumenarcs. The sides will be 275 because I just upgraded it so everything is new and on the sides, the rock will be mostly higher due to the overflows.
It has a HUGE sump. About a foot shorter than the tank. The tank is 6' long. It's a really wide tank which I like Wonder if I could put a mask and a snorkel and dip my head in there lol. |
