| I know this is old, but....
your the first person I found so far with an Odyssea tank.
I was looking at the 28gal version but what did you think of yours before you "modded" it with the filter, lighting and whatnot? I was just curious because they look like really nice tanks but can't find anybody that has had one for a review. BTW, I would be doing FW with mine.
PS- Awesome setup and...everything! Wish I had the time/funds to do that. Just that tank would be nice. |

| The Odyssea tank has been great so far. If your going to buy one, just make sure the bottom is perfectly flat. The first tank I took home was bowed like a ship ! Have the LFS place it on a flat stand to make sure. As for the stock light and filter. They were both very good. I just needed to upgrade them for a reef aquarium. |

| Nice pictures! The tanks at the LFS are already sitting on a flat stand (or that stand is bowed to fit the bottom, lol). They are the stand that you can get with the tank. That's good to hear then that the only reason you had to update the filter/light was because you added the live coral. Thanks and again, nice setup! |

| Any advice? Amazing tank. Thanks for the great pics and the chronicle. Coincidentally, I just purchased an Odyssea B60 tank on ebay + stand + ~50lbs LR for $125. I think its close to your initial setup as far as I can tell. Seemed like a good deal but this company doesn’t get a lot of attention other than the fire issue with their lighting (google Jebo-Odyssea). It has the standard all in one hood that I am willing to modify/ toss if needed. (I pick it up in a few days). I am wondering with all of your experience how would you have proceeded from day one to get where you are now.
I have kept a 20 gallon FOWLR tank for about a year before I moved and had to take it down . I want to start a reef tank now and am considering a few options. I am still very green and reading about reef keeping/ lighting and filtration setup but plan to start set up in 2-3 months after I settle into my new house. My current questions revolve on filtration system . Did you consider drilling/having someone drill the tank? Is it tempered? I would like to set up an overflow system with a 20gal sump in the stand. All thoughts and suggestions appreciated. |

I don't know personally. I was afraid of it cracking. I find the external overflow work good if properly maintained. If you drill your, take some pictures ! |

| Lighting I pick the tank up tommorrow. I cant wait. About the drilling, I am going to think about it and run it by a few others before I do anything crazy. By the way what type of light fixture do you have. I see your bulb choices and have been looking at a 36 inch Current USA SunPod 2x250W 14K HQI-MH w/ 18 Lunar Lights and the Coralife 36 Inch aqualight Pro, 1x250W HQI Lamp + 2x65W CF Lamps Sq. Pin + 2x1W LED, but dont really know what I am talking about yet. Any thoughts? |

| I just found your tank details on the member spotlight. Very helpful info. I was concerned that this tank is a little odd sized and I was going to have to rig something up. If you could provide some details on your lighting frame DIY project it would be most appreciated. This by far is the most complete website I have come across for my needs. Thanks. |

| joy and pain I have set up my 65gal bowfront tank. I have pics but they are not uploading for some reason. There is about 75lbs? of LR. I just bought an AquaC Urchin In-Sump Protein Skimmer and a Korila 3. Everything else came from craigslist and Ebay. Today I came to the realization that I have a potential major problem. During the move to my house I broke the center brace and did not think much of it. I filled the tank about 3 weeks ago without any issue but then it struck me that this could be a big problem. There is a 1/8th gap in the plastic center brace that has stayed the same since day one, otherwise no visable bowing or leaks. I plan to take the tank down in 2 months as I am moving to Alaska. I decided to buy this all now because there are less options up there. Should I try to repair? Bar brace it? Take it down early? Cross my fingers? Thanks for your opinion. |

| critical1, IMO you have a potential disaster looming. The brace needs to be cut out and replaced with a 1/4" piece of acrylic drilled and nylon screwed to replace the cracked one. |

| So where are the new pics agsansoo? Haha
Cant wait to see em when they are posted - your tank is what made me consider going reef on my 55 (which is currently being setup now.) So now that its being setup, im back from my 6 month hiatus from fishlore. I'll make a thread on the progress of the tank tonight once i get my live rock in it!
So thanks for putting expensive ideas in my head! haha |

| Haha thanks man. The coral looks great!
Makes me want to get the reef portion of the tank going ASAP. But i need to decide on lights before that happens.
I'll make a thread about my FOWLR tonight in this section. Keep an eye out for it. Could use your opinions on aquascaping the massive amount of LR in the tank. |
